In very cold conditions, it is difficult for hydraulic oil to stay fluid. In addition, starting up is especially heavy on circular blade machines, since the V-belts and drivetrain need power to get turning properly. A heater is recommended when temperatures are -10 °C or colder. It is used only on electric-powered firewood processors.
