D420

The Palax D420 is a chain-saw firewood processor capable of splitting logs up to 42 cm in diameter with up to 18 tonnes of splitting force.
The machine is ideally suited for professional firewood production, where logs of varying sizes and dimensions need to be processed efficiently.

The Palax D420 is available with PTO drive, an 11 kW electric motor, or as a hybrid model.

Thanks to its optimized hydraulics, the machine’s power requirement and energy consumption remain moderate.

The Palax D420 is equipped with an efficient 16″ chain saw with automatic lubrication. The machine is available in Ergo and Pro versions.
The D420 features a new side-supported splitting blade and optimized blade geometry, enabling efficient splitting with a lower force requirement. Depending on the model, the splitting force is 9 or 11 tonnes, and with the optional pressure booster, it can be increased to 15 or 18 tonnes.

The Pro model is operated using hydraulic joystick controls, and the outfeed conveyor speed can be adjusted directly from the machine’s front panel. An optional assist roller for the infeed conveyor improves the handling of large and demanding logs.
