Clean firewood with vibrating screen rollers
The Palax Roller efficiently cleans firewood using vibrating rollers. It is best suited for screening firewood logs shorter than 50 cm. It is also an excellent choice for use with multiple firewood processors. The Palax Roller is available with an electric motor or powered by tractor hydraulics.
Firewood can be moved into the Palax Roller for cleaning—either as a continuation of a production line, or directly from a bulk bag or front-end loader—which also allows for the re-screening of dry firewood if needed. Re-cleaning dry firewood minimizes the wood debris that is often released during the drying process.
The discharge conveyor is a popular accessory for the Palax Roller, as it allows firewood to be easily directed, for example, onto a high trailer. It is included—almost without exception—in all our images of the Palax Roller, as well as at trade fairs where the Roller is demonstrated for cleaning firewood. The discharge conveyor is 47 cm wide.
Cleaning firewood logs is important in firewood production, as it helps them dry more easily, burn more cleanly, and ensures a more consistent appearance. The loose wood debris can be used as kindling.
