The cleaning drum is an effective remover of wood debris.
In the Palax Cleaner, firewood logs tumble inside a cleaning drum—much like in a washing machine—which effectively and easily removes wood debris. The Cleaner is best suited for screening logs under 50 cm in length. While typically used with a single firewood processor, the Palax Cleaner can also be used in conjunction with multiple processors. It is available with either an electric motor or a tractor-hydraulic drive.
The discharge conveyor is a popular accessory for the Palax Cleaner, as it allows firewood to be easily directed, for example, into a high-sided container or trailer. The discharge conveyor is included—almost without exception—in all our images of the Palax Cleaner, as well as at trade fairs where the cleaning of firewood using the unit is demonstrated. Another available accessory is a splitter for filling two bags (see the drawing).
Cleaning firewood logs is important in firewood production, as it helps them dry more easily, burn more cleanly, and ensures a more consistent appearance. The loose wood debris can be used as kindling.

Palax Puru 2.0 keeps the area around the firewood processor clean and tidy.
Firewood can be moved to the Palax Roller for cleaning either as an extension of the production line or directly from a bag or front loader, which also allows dry firewood to be screened again when needed.
